BIOGRAPHY

J.M. Helfrich grew up on the Canadian prairie where long stretches of nothing persisted in at least four dimensions. J.M. has worked mainly in IT, most recently as a GIS (geographic information systems) specialist. When not painting or writing, J.M. can be found loading linux on unsuspecting computers or staring at fish.

J.M.’s fiction has appeared in the journal Nature and various magazines and anthologies, including On Spec and Quantum Shorts. J.M.’s painting, The Dark Horse, has appeared on the cover of On Spec magazine.
